Rest

If you don’t take care of yourself first, how can you serve others?

Today I stayed home.

Kaytee and I spent a few hours scrubbing the kitchen floor, washed the bathroom curtains and rugs, blankets and sheets…slowly we are making progress on deep cleaning the house.

I cleaned, I rested and then I did nothing. And it felt great.

I’m committing myself to start writing more seriously this winter, as the cold weather will keep me indoors more often. I’ve said for a time now that I wanted to write a book someday, perhaps this is the year to start pursuing that.

Cheers to the literary trail ahead…

P.S. This is my official 200th post!
