Retreat Day One

The ride to Santa Fe was snowy but enjoyable. As we drove out of the Valley and into New Mexico the flat landscape gradually changed to hills.

We checked into the hostel and drove downtown to the plaza. Jake, Claudia, Weston and I ate at the Burrito Co. I had a delicious green chili burrito. It’s definitely nice to get away and experience a different place.

I walked around in and out of a few of the shops, but the downtown area was way too expensive for a volunteer to shop at.

We split into groups, were given a budget for groceries the rest of the weekend, and shopped at Sprouts. Dark chocolate covered edamame beans were in order.

Tonight we walked around the Museum of Art before making our dinners. I learned how to play Up and Down the River card game

That’s all for now,..
